It could be that they are trying to sleep with you by making the idea sound normal or something, like someone else said here. I know that I wouldn't tell someone that, even if I thought it.
But with the possibility that they have no I'll intent, and just think you look provocative, it could be for several reasons.
1) You tend to hang out with guys. Even more so if you hang out with them alone. This can obviously be harmless, but it puts thoughts in guys minds when they are trying to figure you out.
2) You look mature. I realize this is stupid, but men equate mature=experienced. This is especially true if you have large cheek bones, since cheek bones arr often used to depict more mature women.
3) Maybe you act flirty. Even if unintentional, flirty behavior towards a lot of guys will make you seem more provocative.
4) Even if you dress conservatively, you can still dress in a way that looks like you get around. Especially depending on how you put your make up. I don't really know what types of dress makes me think this way, but anything that makes my mind think you are a "party girl." Don't feel obligated to change how you dress because of this (especially since it might not even apply to you), but it can cause people to think that way.
There might be more reasons, but these are what I personally have caught myself doing on the girl I'm chasing right now. It doesn't help that I'm insecure. But like I said, I would never tell this to her, and I'd make my own judgement based on how she seems when I talk to her, and not just based on my first impression.
Ultimately, don't think too far into it. Just be the best you. This has more to do with their own insecurities (or fantasies) than it has to do with you.
