Why do guys like to pat my head and call me short all the time?

I'm at lunch right, and my boy-best friend (also ex-) and his cousin are patting me, calling me short, and comparing me to other guys. Is this like, a playful thing? I couldn't tell if they were teasing, or actually making fun of me, like in a disrespectful way.- I tend to laugh a lot when I'm nervous, and they picked at that too- are they trying to be playful? Or downright trying to push me down?

Don't let them.
You don't have to be aggressive but you can't stand up for yourself and let them know that you don't like it and you want them to stop.
Some people do it as an endearing thing others do it as an attempt to patronise you. Like aww "little one!"
Choose which way you feel about it and deal with it accordingly.
