What does it mean if a hispanic guy calls you "mama"?

there is a Hispanic neighbor who always calls me mama very often whenever he sees me around. I know that Hispanic people call all females "mama" or mami. But there is also another variation in usage where "mama" or "mamacita" means a man is hitting on a woman. so i can't tell if he's trying to hit on me or not.

mama or mami... it is way way way more common from Hispanic people from the Caribe, think of Puerto Ricans mostly, Cubans... perhaps Venezuela, and you can tell by the way they say it... emphasis on the first syllable -MAmi-

now, the "mamacita" could be a very Mexican word... and usually goes like "mamaSSSita" which is very cringy so that's your tell
