What does it mean when a guy says "I more than like you"?

We're not dating or anything, and he never asked me out. He flirts a bit but that's all. But today, I was joking with him and out of nowhere he said "actually, I more than like you". Does it mean that he's likes me romantically, or am I reading too much into it?
