Why do straight men like to watch drag queens on TV?

I don't know probably for entertainment? Like the other reality competitions like hell's kitchen or survival or the bachelor stuff? I know people who watch hell's kitchen don't all like cooking, and people who watch survival don't all like camping, but they all like the reality TV style of entertainment. Personally I don't like that, so even though I do like camping and cooking, I don't watch either show.
I don't watch for the same reason I don't watch shows full of fugly and/or boring women. Nothing to do with being uncomfortable. Just don't see the point.
Im a straight woman and it makes me uncomfortable to watch because they remind me of clowns in a circus which also creeps me out. As for straight men, its a bit questionable if they watch but maybe theyre just supportive of their gay male friends. I don't know. But whats more questionable is the ones who would sleep with a trans and say its not gay. Nah its gay
Because it’s entertaining probably? You don’t usually watch things to feel turned on, it’s usually for entertainment
I don't know, I’m not a straight man so I wouldn’t know but if they are comfortable in their sexuality and aren’t homophobic i don’t know why they wouldn’t watch it if they find it entertaining. Rupaul’s drag race is funny!
Because it's not entertaining! Not to (most) straight men, or else, they'd be watching this stuff in large numbers. 99% of its demographic are women and gay men. And it's not "homophobic" to not want to look at a bunch of flamboyant half naked gay men dressed as slutty women. That's literally just being a straight man.
Yeah it’s probably not entertaining to you or a lot of straight men, but you asked why straight men would watch it and I would say probably because they find it entertaining. Everyone likes different things! Also, there is also the fact that men are often called gay in an insulting way if they say certain things, act a certain way or like certain things so there would maybe be a larger number of straight men who would watch it if they didn’t feel like they’d be called gay for it. And then obvs straight men who are homophobic wouldn’t watch it either
Why are you still confused? She answered the question perfectly by saying "people watch things for entertainment, not to get turned on"
I've never watched a dragg programme before, but I would consider watching it when I'm bored, even tho I'm low-key a homophobe, I'd still watch it jus for fun cos I'm comfortable enough in my sexuality and know that watching it will never make me gay so I don't have to worry... a straight man who's scared to watch something like that may have a little bit of secret gayness hidden within himself and he fears watching that may bring out the little gay in him...
@Dumdumbz Yes that’s what I was getting at (although I’m not homophobic and don’t support homophobia)! I feel like straight guys are scared of watching/listening to certain things incase they get called gay or are scared of having some kind of reaction that they don’t want to feel. I used to watch RuPaul’s Drag Race, I watched it for entertainment like anything else I watch on TV! Like I said earlier people watch things for entertainment, not to get turned on. I’m glad you understood my point :)
Yeah. Lol. Also when I said low-key homophobic. I actually have no problems with gay people, I'd never say anything insulting to them, but somewhere at the back of my mind I can't help but judge them as being wrong, but I realise that's jus me being unreasonable and they can't help it so I jus repress those feelings lol

I would never ever watch this and the dudes doing it ain't straight
I just realized something. The opposite gender equivalent of this would be a bunch of prison dykes in a competitive fighting tournament like the UFC. That would be the opposite of RuPaul's Drag Race: A bunch of females dressed up and acting like men, doing something super masculine (brawling), primarily watched by men and possibly other lesbians. Do you think a Prison Lesbian Fighting League has any viewership potential?
I never did this and don't know anyone who is interested. Even my friend who is gay would not watch it.
I don't understand it at all either, but to each their own I guess?
I found more straight women were uncomfortable with this and men more just didn't care if they were happy. I found out not all of them are homosexual some are married with wives and just like to have fun
I'm a straight man but I liked watching the gay couple from modern family when growing up. I don't know why straight men would watch the show game of thrones because it was so boring to me but we like different things
I don’t. I mean what’s so cool about dudes dressing and behaving like chicks?
I'm not sure. If they're not causing any harm, then there's no problem.
I’ve never met such straight men.
They ain't straight either doing or watching
We don’t
