How do I talk to or hit up a stranger who I met today?

Ok so he's a gay guy who started talking to me while we were sat next to each other at a restaurant type seating area. Im pretty sure i have undiagnosed aspergers which is a form of autism. I have no friends. I know some people will talk to and befriend everyone and anyone. Im very shy and socially inexperiened but he seemed friendly and nice so we exchanged numbers. He said hit me up or dont be a stranger. I noticed we both are into artistic stuff in a way but im. not like a full fledged artist so I don't know. But yeah how do i hit up a gay man? Im not being homophobic or whatever im just confused about my worth as a friend anyway lol.
