Why is my ex acting like this? What is his motive?

My ex saw me on a dating app and he decided to text me about it. Ever since then we have been speaking but he’s been controlling. Even if I share a photo of my face on social media, he will think I’m dating someone or that guys will flirt with me online. Eventhough he keeps saying we are single, when I was speaking to someone, he got angry and called me a cheat etc.

he's literally been speaking to me for months and when I ask where I stand, he says I’m “pressuring” him and then blames me for the break up. He constantly talks about the break up and how he was good to me and that I threw it away/took him for granted which isn’t true. We split because I couldn’t cope with his constant arguing etc. He also screenshots our conversations all the time and when I ask why he says it’s in case I try to get him “into trouble”. Why is he doing all of this? I have chosen to move on but I want to understand his behaviour

It’s a control mechanism. He doesn’t want to commit to you and be in a relationship, yet he doesn’t want to see you with anyone else. Women often confuse this tactic with romantic or him actually caring a lot, but he doesn’t, because the real love is in him letting you go when he knows he is unwilling to step up, not wanting boyfriend benefits on a just friends budget. I am glad that you’ve made the choice to move on, but I’d strongly advise that after this post and the responses you get, you close that chapter in a real way, wash your hands completely of that situation and move forward. There is nothing healthy or fulfilling about dwelling on him and what he’s put you through. Your time is much better invested in healing, growing, and working to forget him.

Do this it will Help you understand him better. Do the same things he does to you.
So what your gonna do is Mirror His behavior. He screenshots your stuff and says he is keeping it so he doesn’t get in trouble so the same but with a different reason. He blames you for stuff so you blame him for similar stuff. Only do the things that sound like something he would do. Act like him really try to be just like him in conversation and over text.
