How can I stop being so shy and awkward around a guy I like at work?

I have developed feelings for him over this last year and suddenly I’m a complete mess around him.

I feel like I’m very awkward around him now because of how I feel.

I don’t think he’d ever be interested in me that way though so how can I stop feeling like this when I have to see him 6 days a week!!

We sometimes flirt with each other (well I think it was flirting)

Today at work I had to go and ask him something and I was literally sweating and when I got back to my desk my hands were shaking!!! Wtf is wrong with me? I’m usually quite confident around men.

Honestly? You should tell him and see if he feels the same way.

Because you need peace one way or the other. Now before you do this, I'm trying to look out for you, here's a question you have to ask yourself?

Can you still work there if he says "No thanks"?
Can you still work there if you two try and see where this leads and it fails? Does a relationship with him negatively impact your reputation in the office?

Have the plan on how to handle those potential outcomes, this will help you because you'll know what to do.

I think the strategy here is to tie down how you will deal with the situations so that the ONLY thing you don't know - is how he feels about you. Which you can just ask.

Thank you for this! It helps to think of the bigger picture and to be more realistic - I’m just hoping one day I stop having feelings for him.

I’m not the most confident person these days so I don’t think I could ever tell him. I know he also has a lady who he is always on and off with so I really doubt he would ever even think of me that way.

We used to talk a lot more than we do now and have flirty conversations sometimes but now it’s awkward and we barely talk anymore.
