Why are guys nervous around some girls?

Asking this because there is this guy who I kinda like me him and his mom went to McDonald’s to order some food and while we were waiting in line his mom asked him “haha why do you look nervous?” And I just kinda looked at him letting out a laugh but he didn’t say anything and just kept walking with a straight face. Even if he wasn’t nervous because of me ( I shouldn’t assume anything I mean it could mean anything and his mom was prob teasing him) why do some guys get nervous around some girls?

If I get embarrassed by a family member I keep a straight face and ignore them until they drop it.


I get more nervous around girls I like but in different ways. I am nervous around everyone always, but the 2 girls I like that I am now friends with, I am able to be more open and talkative with them. But I get more nervous in my head (not in actions) and if someone says something to me about the girl in an embarrassing way I go completely serious and try to ignore them and also when I get really nervous from this kind of stuff I start smiling and laughing so I have to try and hold that back too.
