Why do guys act like this sometimes?

My male coworker had been talking to me and being friendly then now has began avoiding me and became more aloof and won’t really talk to me but still looks over at me. Why is he acting like this? We didn’t argue so what have I done wrong?

It is possible he may be shy towards you because he likes you. Sounds like something I do on occasions to female co-worker because I don't know what to say to her sometimes.

Sorry for the delay in responding and ah ok thank you! Would you come across as cold to her even if she didn’t do anything personally to you?

Unfortunately, yes I have been cold towards her many times even though she did not do anything to me personally and I hate it when I do it. When I have been acting cold, it may seem I am doing it on purpose or want to do it by ignoring but in reality, deep down I want to talk to her, just clueless what to say to her. So.. this might the same in your case.

Ah ok thank you that makes sense, do you feel really bad after acting this way afterwards? Also is it fear causing you to do it as I don’t know if I intimidate him as when I tried talking to him yesterday afternoon and I was being friendly he was giving me very brief answers as if he didn’t want to talk to me. Would you do the same?

Yes, every time I do it I feel bad, hate myself doing it. Anytime I see my co-worker I try converse with her but depending on my mood I might give terse answers due to nerves getting the better of me or not knowing how to keep the conversation going. Maybe your male co-worker is the same.

I’m in an all male team and he talked to my manager and other colleague just fine but the around me became more silent and gave terse answers Yesterday
