Was my reaction to losing my phone a turn off. Be honest?

I lost my phone my friend told the guys we where hanging out with they laughed and seemed concerned but then change subject. Later after we hooked up the guy I have a thing with was like oh your friend said u lost ur phone
i said yeah I will probably get it back I lost it lots of times before so I will find it I always get it back I lose it a lot and I’ve always gotten it back in the end
He looked at me like I was the stupidest person he’s ever met

After you mentioned the history of losing your phone, he might see you as someone who is too careless with her things. He might also know some mischievous things about the guys you were hanging out with that could also have a connection with the loss of your phone. If that's the case, in his mind, you're never getting that phone back.

I wasn’t gonna stress about it because I was 99% sure I left it in the Uber or the bar and I knew it would definitely be handed in as it wasn’t too busy at the venue. I wasn’t going to worry about something outwith my control. I got it back in the end after calling lost and found so I was right.
