So my boyfriend has a best friend, he is like a brother for him. About a week ago I sent my boyfriend a selfie and at that moment supposedly his friend was looking through his contacts. Well he saw the selfie and was making fun of my boyfriend (I know bc my boyfriend told me about it). Then yesterday his friend was over for dinner. We were talking about how fun it would be if we go to Malibu. Then his friend was like, yeah just don’t wear your blue bikini, you need to get the surfing gear out.. I had no idea how he knew about my bikini. Turns out that he has seen all the photos in my boyfriend phone, and the bikini he mentioned was from a pic I sent my boyfriend 2 years ago. Anyway, is it normal that a friend can see everything on my boyfriend phone? Should I tell my boyfriend something?
Yeah, it's totally normal to go through your friend's phone. But what your boyfriend's friend is doing is too invasive. I let my friends take random photos on my phone or sent silly messages in the group chats that we share. But it's weird that he's going through your messages and photos you sent to each other. That is way too invasive. If it's bothering you, I would talk to him about it

That’s weird to me. I could kinda see that from a teenager but it says that you’re 30-35 so I’ll assume your boyfriend is a bit older. What his friend is doing is invasive and it sounds like it’s getting weird. I guess it’s up to your boyfriend on what he allows but I wonder if he has trouble putting up boundaries with people.
