Could no contact between dates be a sign of low interest or busy/doesn’t like texting?

We have amazing dates he always wants to keep extending them. We knew each other in the past. He is a medical resident so I know his schedule is crazy and he told me he’s a notoriously bad texter. He’s also very anti phones and social media. haven’t heard from him in 5 days. He also lives a few hours away. I want to chalk it up to that he’s just not like most but it’s hard for me to believe he would not check in sometimes if he’s excited about me. Too early to have expectations or confront him about it. What do you think
