Why did my ex boyfriend used me for sex instead of just leaving me alone?

My ex broke up with me 2 weeks ago ever since then he has been texting and calling me everyday asking for a second chance. the day I gave in and decided to give him a second chance we had sex. when we were done he told me he had to run some errands and would come back later on that night but I have not heard from him since why do guys do this?
