I have a close guy friend which I hang out with often. We have a few friends that we hang out with and go on trips together.
He wasn't a touchy person when I first met him but I realized he was getting more touchy around others, both boys and girls. Putting his hands around their shoulders, gently putting his hand on their back and other stuff. But I realized he doesn't do that to me and only me.
He will do things like grab my hand to help me up when we do outdoor activities such as hiking or kayaking. But other than that he keeps away. I try to initiate to let him know I'm fine with it, by putting my hand around his shoulders when we pose for a picture, or tapping him when I want his attention. But he still doesn't initiate any contact.
When we are posing for a picture and he's standing next to me and another girl, he will pull me closer to him but then let's go of my shoulder. Then he will put his hand on the other girl's shoulder and do a peace sign with his other hand instead. Is this his way of telling me to keep away?
