Is he still interested or is he playing me and how to get out of it?

I’ve been talking to this guy for about a month he reached out to me first and was flirting a ton, complimenting me, interested in getting to know me. We talked everyday and eventually he began planning out dates for us etc etc when I began reciprocating his flirting he began making sly remarks at me saying I was looked ugly in pictures and backtracking from wanting go places with me and said I should do them alone. He then told me about how he’ was flirting with other girls and proceeded to ignore me. When I didn’t make any effort he came back and started being flirty and sweet again which I was hesitant about and now he’s trying to talk again.

Is he still interested or is he playing me and how to get out of it?
