Boyfriend says he likes my chubby tummy but he complains about his being too fat?

So I am 5'6" and weigh 165 lbs, my belly is quite large (35 inch waist). I gained a few pounds (like 10) and inches in the last year and my boyfriend says he really likes my tummy.

However, his tummy is much smaller than mine yet he says he feels too fat.

Do you think he also considers mine too fat? Or it is just an insecurity?

I think skinny guys and plumb woman look kind of cute together in a contrasting way... I also think he's being generous and loving too in his assessment of 35 waist. 32 might be better... He loves you... lucky girl !!!

Here is my take as a man. So i prefer chubby, plus size, bbw women. But i dont want my self to be fat. So while i can’t speak for your boyfriend that could be the case.

It's going to be harder to do the older you get, and if the trend continues you will get wider. If you are okay with that and any potential health issues that might follow, keep it up. If not, changing some habits might be in order.

You're showing a portion of your body, you can only tell how big something is in a full body standing picture. If you think it looks big, you should do something about it.

It doesn't matter what your mother says. Are you happy with the body that you have? If you are then tell your mother to mind your own business. She should be worrying about her own body

Someone bitching at someone to lose weight or to quit smoking or pick another topic doesn't work unless the person that is overweight or smoking etc once to quit or lose weight. Insecurity, got to remember the norm for men now you see on social media it’s fit guys so maybe he’s seeing all that online and seeing 6 pacs and he wants that, best to just reassure him
