I was in a 6 year relationship and I have three kids. We broke up two months ago. I started talking to a guy from work who I always found attractive. We ended up kissing and having sex. My ex found out that I was intimate with someone else and was threatening my job and his job. I told the guy that and he said he doesn’t want to be involved and he was upset that my ex knew and was threatening him. I texted him the next day and found out that he blocked me.

did he block me because he is terrified of losing his job? Or

did he block me because the sex was not good and I told him that it could of been better? Or

did he block me because he actually secretly has a girlfriend and she found out and told him to stop talking to me? Or

did he block me because he got what he wanted?

I know that this was not a hook up. We were talking for weeks and he had feelings for me and I had feelings for me. He just kept saying that we shouldn’t be seeing each other because we work together. Honestly I didn’t care because I just wanted him. He also was hanging out with his ex girlfriend the whole time we were talking but would leave her to be with me.

He wasn't expecting all the drama, and he's all too well aware that men can be fired and sued for virtually no reason, and have their lives destroyed, just because someone said the wrong thing at their workplace. These things can happen even if you came to his defense - a lot of companies are so "woke" and paranoid that they prefer just to fire the man and blackball him.

The issue is that your ex still seems to think he has some "property rights" with you, which means he seems to think there's some hope that you're going to get back together with him. Either you've not been crystal clear with him and made a clean, complete break and permanent ending of your romantic relationship, OR he's a crazy possessive whacko. If the former, then you have work to do. If the latter, then that's something you need to disclose to any guy you want to date, because your ex represents a threat to any guy you get with, and guys deserve to know that up-front.

You made things complicated too fast, on top of threatening his career if he continues to stay with you, who he doesn't know very well yet.

On the flip side if he cuts you off like a lizard tail, all those complications and risks go away. It isn't that difficult to figure out if you take about 5 seconds to think of it from his perspective... Also breaking up 2 months ago I'm going to guess you aren't divorced yet (most states it's a year separation with kids), so if he did stick around he'd be part of that too.
