Does anyone actually think all men are the same?

There are many things to learn about men, but one thing that doesn’t get enough credit is how monumentally different men are from each other, and this is can be seen as a good thing.

Where one man is lazy, another will do whatever it takes to achieve his goals. Where one man is selfish, another will bend over backwards to please others. Where one man has an anger or attitude problem, another will be pleasant and even tempered. Where one man is one trick pony, another is a one man show. So much variety that it interests me anyone has ever tried to say all men all the same.

Ladies, I promise you, for every man you think you hate, his opposite does exist. But can you recognize him when you see him?

Ask any modern day feminist and they will say 90% of the time all men are pigs and all men are rapists. That's the same as saying all LGBTQ people are Pedophiles.

Both are only filled with hate for the other and lets face it modern feminism isn't about equality anymore but superiority. If they can't be as good as men they get extra rules to bypas all those challenges to get the same level. Why else would there be a ridiculous rule for corporations to have a certain amount of female employs at the higher level. Sounds like they want to reap all the benefits with no effort. Which is going to hurt the company in the long run as they usually only put in the most capable people in high positions and don't care for what they have between their legs. But now with that law its going south really fast in most companies. women with a bachelors degree get positions for which a masters degree for men was needed. That's the first sign something isn't good.

Of course people think that. That saying is culturally pervasive. Everyone has seen it in shows, movies, books and on social media. Most men have heard it. Most women have said it. This question literally wouldn’t be possible if it was never or even rarely said. My niece said it aloud at a family gathering when she was only seven. Did she conjure that saying out of thin air, or had she heard it dozens or possibly hundreds of times? She’s twenty-something now and i’m not sure she’s outgrown it. Ell oh ell!

Who would ever be stupid enough to think an entire gender throughout over 200 countries and cultures are ALL the same? Jesus, two identical twin brothers are usually nothing alike as far as personality goes! Anyone who ever dated more than one guy, knows that those guys are nothing alike. There are some characteristics that many men share, but commonalities are not being the same. And even those guys who share certain commonalities are nothing like the guys who do NOT share those commonalities!

Umm I think in regards to settling down I do.
They always want to be settled before they nest.
Usually a decent salary, done all they wanted sexually, done enough boys things, decided they were done playing the field.

Unless those things are checked off the list most men won't give a woman the proper chance she deserves.

I know some women think all men are the same which is kind of ridiculous because of how different our personalities can easily vary just like women. Some people are laid back and chill while others are more passion and fiery. We might have similarities on certain things but to generalize an entire group of people because it’s easier to process things mentally is absolutely baffling to me.

What a lovely, well thought out post MzAsh. It's easy to make sweeping statements based on bad experiences but not all men are the same.

Likewise not all women are like my past relationships. It'd be easy to tar all women with the same brush but I knew there were good women out there and after some bizarre to downright batshit crazy women. I found the love of my life and been together 11 years. So there's good people out there of both genders.

Absolutely not. Some men are total douchebags only in relationships for sex, or they sexually/physically/mentally abuse women. The problem with your statement is generalizing on psychological behavior, which is a dicey prospect at best, because we all have such varied life experiences, social challenges/obligations, social circles, etc. It all has an effect. I would argue the same thing if a person were to say "All women are 'insert xyz generalization here' because...". That's the problem with generalizations as a concept.
As an aside, physical factors are much easier to generalize as there's measurable differences between each subset but psychology is more akin to looking at a mural through a keyhole than measuring the difference between two objects.

I read and comprehended what you were saying, and I am saying that I fundamentally disagree with your assertion. As to your implied insult regarding my reading comprehension, just so we're all on the same page I have two Bachelor of Science degrees (one in IT/Cybersecurity and the other in Pre-Law) and am well on my way to a J. Of course not. Opinions among women would vary depending on their personal experiences with men they have come across. Some may have bad experiences which results is those women saying “they hate men”. This doesn’t mean she meant ALL MEN , just those men she encountered.
