They always say don't ask how much a girl weighs... and wondering if its considered rude to ask how much a guy weighs too?
Obviously it depends on the context: if a guy is BUILT, then yeah why not, he’s guaranteed to proud of his weight, his BMI, his percentage of body fat, and how much he can “bench”! Literally ALL of those type of guys are! I don’t blame them either, they worked hard to achieve that. Now, I think its a bit silly to be that into your own looks, especially for a guy, but gender rolls are changing so why shouldn’t guys be into their appearance the way women traditionally have been?
But…. If the guy is a little on the chubby side, or if he’s downright fat, then no it’s not okay! He’s possibly very self-conscious about his weight, and a question like that could possibly hurt his feelings, and why would anyone do that?
If the guy is too big for you, maybe you shouldn’t have accepted his invitation to go on the date. But since you did, you have a responsibility to not be rude! Also, it’s just basic human decency to not be rude to someone because of their appearance! It doesn’t really matter whether the issue is something they have NO control over like: scars, birth marks, moles etc… or something the DO have control over like their weight.
Again, if you don’t like their looks, or something in the milieu of looks, then you shouldn’t have gone out with him. Since you did, just be polite and maybe even pay for your own meal!

If you're a Dr doing a check up yep.
Ay other circumstance it's none of your business. Regardless of gender.

Unless you're prepared to be asked the same question aftwards, don't ask.
I weight about 250lbs, more or less, I had a baby in February & haven't kicked the pregnancy weight. I own it, I'm not happy about it, but I own it. I'm working on losing it. My SO has gained weight too since I got pregnant, when I met him I could pretty much count his ribs, now he has the starting of a "dad bod" 😂 he blames my good cooking.I can see how it would be appropriate, same with any body standards. It's just more acceptable for women to make certain body demands than for guys. If a girl has a preference for muscular guys, she might ask the guy just to know if he's morbidly obese or not.
Yep but be ready to get asked the same or something similar. I probably wouldn't ask it, because it would probably come off as if I'm making fun of them. But if you get along and the chat is going well you both can get away with a lot of questions, depending on how you deliver them.
If you see them in person I don't see how it's any of their business to know what the other person's weight is. Online dating is different of course but you can just see a picture and decide if you're attracted to them or not.
No, I don't think it's appropriate. You should never ask that unless you're a doctor or personal trainer.
I would never ask someone that -- it's not important. I'm either attracted or I'm not, and I don't need to know their weight to decide.
I think it is a normal question once there is certain level of confidence
Some men might not even talk about it, especially obese sane ones. Although I’m neither, I also prefer not to talk about my weight (unless I’m in outer space). It could be like asking a woman her age or weight or other stuff in the Western World.
It depends on. If she asks men about their height/weight, men have every right to ask her about her weight/height.
It’s really not something I would ask him tbh. Sooo many other interesting things to ask !
Depends on who the man is and how long she's known him. If it's her husband or boyfriend and they've been together a while, it's acceptable to ask, otherwise it's not.
Only few people don't care if someone's fat.
The question is fully legit.
As a man it wouldn't bother me. But then I'm not sensitive about my weight, which is close to ideal.
It depends, lol you could always hint them in a playfully conversation.
I would put that in the category of things NOT to say on a first date. Later dates, given appropriate context maybe.
I don't see why not unless they are morbidly obese.
I don't give a shit. I have always weighed a lot more than it looks like I weigh, though
It's inappropriate... How much you weigh?
I think it’s inappropriate to ask somebody that.
