Is my mum's boyfriend trying to be my friend or something else?

For context my mom (56) has an on and off boyfriend (51). They fight constantly as he drinks heavily and calls her mom, old lady etc. They are both conventionally attractive people.

He no longer lives at our house but comes to do work on the house (he's a mason) and recently he's been a bit weird when before he never really talked to me. I was wearing a nice cultural yet slightly tight dress and he called me a bimbo but stared (I've caught him looking at my bum when he drinks), and recently he's been bad-mouthing both my mum and my dad to me, calling my mom crazy, says she talks nonsense, I deserve better etc. He wants me to meet his nieces and daughter and parents? He also opened up about his past way more than he did with my mom (scary guy tbh.) and then offered to shout a sesh but not sure if I can mention that too much here. He seems to just argue with my mum when he works for us, he always says a proper hello and goodbye to me and not to her. If he's not arguing with my ma he's talking absolute bollocks to me. What's up with this? Thanks fam. I'm about to be 17.
