in my opinion, she usually just doesn't want to have to do the work to become valuable in the eyes of a man - so, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Some men do exactly the same thing: they aren't willing to work on themselves, so they want to blame women for not finding them attractive, even though they've done nothing to make themselves attractive.

Sure, some people are fortunate enough to be born with very good looks, and they have an easier time than most people, but, hey, life isn't fair. That doesn't mean that good outcomes are out of your reach, but you may well have to work hard to earn them.
