Why do some guys do this? Drag things on and not specifically say its not working?

Got this response after asking what's going on and where is it leading.

All the time he would say these things then daystar invite me over for food and act like nothing has happened. Wtf

It could be many things I suppose, as you mentioned maybe he just wants to be friends or doesn't want a relationship with me or at all right now. He has poor communication skills and takes no accountability.
I lost my nan 3 weeks ago an found out at his place. He hasn't been supportive. I haven't wanted to go out socialising or out for meals an he used that very reason as a way we are not compatible, because I don't go out often... not when grieving no.
I think he's a bit manipulative and I'm probably better of without.
It just phantoms me as to why someone can behave this way, considering he 'cares'. Sigh

I am sorry for your loss. It is a tough time to be alone and to find out another is so self-absorbed that your pain does not register. He exhibits psycho/sociopath traits or narcissism... they are actually almost on a continuum... stay away as will not end well for him.
