Does this sound as more than friends with benefits?

Lately my friends with benefits is acting very strange. doing things like leaning in for kisses , hugging me for no reason, will call and ask how my day has been and ask how I’m doing, will offer to do diy around my house , I got upset and he hugged me asking if I needed to talk to him. what’s going on In your opinion?

There is a moment in my life when I went through a breakup that felt like the last forever I finally got her on an airplane and flew her out of here within a week to two weeks a couple of my friends that were girls and a couple of her friends that were girls had come over all separate times and before the end of the conversation they all asked me out and I told them no I hated girls LOL what I just went through I absolutely hated girls and we laughed about it but I said no I'm not ready to date anybody and then me being the smart-ass that I am I said not unless you want to be friends with benefits and of course both three of them said okay and I said what they said okay I said wait a minute I said I'm willing to do this but there has to be rules and they said what are the rules and I said if you say I love you I miss you I want you I need you we're going to call it quits right then and there because I can't have that right now in my life and they all agreed on it he was one of the best times ever because in those three friends with benefits I got to open up and be the real me without any strings attached without anything it was one of the best times that I've ever had even as a relationship type thing it was so real and honest it was amazing to me but I ended up buying a house that I never did tell them where I lived I lost my phone at the same time too so I had no way of getting a hold of them or they had no way of getting old me and that kind of sucked so it was weird how it all just came about but I think it's up to you if you have any rules you have to speak up now don't leave him on if you like what he's doing then you know go for it

Nothing is going on. If he wanted you to be his girlfriend you wouldn't be his friends with benefits. It's simple.
