I have a coworker who's been saying hi first, being extra friendly and nice, always checking on me first. He doesn't really do that to other female coworkers, and I've noticed him looking/staring so I thought he either likes me as a friend or maybe more.
We became pretty close past couple days, goofing around, taking a break together, he even was being really nice the other day so i thought we become good friends i felt comfortable around him.
now all of sudden yesterday he stopped saying hi to me first, didn't come to me to start a conversation like he used to.
it wasn't ignoring though, he was still around me here and there and talking to other coworkers next to me and I noticed him looking at me couple times. he just wouldn't say hi or start a convo first like he's been.
I know I could have said hi first and started a convo, but I just feel weird that he suddenly changed his behavior around me.
Can you tell me what's going on here?
We don't flirt or anything like that. I've treated him like I do to other male coworkers so I don't think he is pulling away because he thinks I'm interested in him.
I just don't want things to get awkward between us since we work in the same area and his sudden change of behavior kind of making me uncomfortable..
