Guys, does he want to talk to me?

So me and this guy was in a talking stage before but due to miscommunication and other people coming in and having their opinion to do with us he decided to be friends with me.

As due to him always starting the convo and how I wasn’t putting in the effort before I decided to text him more and he has been replying quick and he has helped me when I needed him.

Even though we aren’t close as how we was before I started posting on my priv on snap and he pops up to comment on my post or to start making a joke. When I said I was bored he called and decided to have a convo with me and ask me questions about college and I would do the same. But today I saw him and he was smiling at me and staring as it was the first time in months but I texted him and he replied straight away and he looked intrigued in the convo but his replies was short like (oh what happened and well mad) and I sent a snap of me in class and he didn’t open it but I know he is the type of person to leave someone on delivered to make it look like he is famous which is stupid.

Like I don’t understand what is going on right now as I feel like he is a bit interested if you can reply to my posts and ask questions about myself but I just don’t want to waste my time and I am not putting in the effort but I don’t know if he is making it difficult for me to see if I will put in the effort even more.
