Guys, how often does a hook up get another round when playing the field?

For the guys that are out trying to play the field and go out with a girl they sleep with and then not talk to her for weeks because they are playing the field. How common is it for guys to circle back when they aren’t successful with other conquests? Or are hook ups usually one and done? (My situation, he’s no talking to me but he’s keeping an eye on my social media)
