A girlfriend and I have had an ongoing debate regarding the behavior of a male friend towards me.
Both my friend and I are older, never married, and neither of us have dated much. He frequently tells me he really appreciates me, is thankful for me, etc. He also walks me to my car, opens doors for me, and always hugs me when he sees me.
More than once I’ve gotten the impression he’s interested in me, but my friend insists that he isn’t because “I would know” if he was.
My question is - are men ALWAYS forward and clear when they are interested in a woman? Or are their cases where you can be interested in a female friend but hesitant to pursue for whatever reason?
And if you tell a woman - a lot - that you appreciate them, are thankful for them… Is that just regular “friend” talk, or typically something more?
