My colleague talks to multiple girls but questions me?

I work at the hospital and a colleague at my job approached me about me being new and we had small talk months ago. We would greet each other and while walking pass him he would stare at me intensely. I noticed he likes to stare at everywomen walking by and I noticed him speaking with another woman as I was talking to someone up front and he looked at me quickly.

I sorta got an idea of the guy he is and I took a step back because I don’t want to be apart of his roster nor giving him the wrong idea such as interest. I noticed he would stare at me but I would mind my own business and avoid interaction if we’re not close.

He approached me yesterday after spotting me in the hallway to say “I’m a serious lady” and I questioned him and he mentioned something around not giving him a chance, ignoring, or not letting him in (can’t remember). I responded to say we’re speaking right now, im an open person, and he walks by everyday and never says hi. He goes on to say now he knows or something of that sort for now on he’s going to say hello and good night. He started doing that and im confused

I have nothing against him but I’m not too sure what he meant by his approach? If he wants to speak he can always approach?

Well, this is difficult. You stares without uttering words. You are no mind reader.

He also stares at other women and you've gotten to the finish line already knowing who he is without knowing him.

Lastly, I believe you really like him. It's okay for you to take the step he's too shy to take or rather not sure how to take that step

Depending on his tone, the comment about you being a serious lady could've been a way of saying you seem to separate yourself from the other females in some way.

He could've been saying that you are worth his investment.

How would you feel if he said that to you?

I see what you’re saying. I was confused as well by the comment and I’m uncertain about his approach. I like to analyze a situation and assess a situation to see the intention or a guys ulterior motive.

I wish I remembered what he responded with directly after I asked him “How?” But my mind went blank. I’m not too sure how would I feel if I were to be honest.

I think what he meant to say was, "You're a smart lady and you're onto my game. Do you still want to talk to me? Because I thought you wouldn't want to play."

There was a slight attraction before but afterwards what I witnessed left a bad taste in my mouth. Now I’m confused where he was trying to go with the interaction if he sees me all the time

Trying? Lol I don’t want him to try I was sorta put off by his approach of saying that I’m “serious” when he walks by me everyday and it’s just weird. Me being aware that he turns his head to every woman walking or tries to speak to everyone from what I see
