I have developed a deep interest in an introverted guy I work with. There seems to be some connection between us, but I am having a difficult time reading whether he is genuinely interested in me or just humoring me because I am very talkative.
we have been playing this interesting “eye tag” for weeks. I look at him and he looks at me and we look at each other from a distance, but then he does not keep eye contact up close.
he consistently seems fidgety — messes with his hair, straightens his clothes, bites the inside of his cheeks, and rubs his face when I am hanging around
A mutual work colleague even said that when I come around he acts “more energized in some way.”
But, I don’t know. I can’t seem to gauge whether I make him uncomfortable for bad or good reasons lol. He always seems very communicative when I chat him up. He listens and we laugh with one another about small things. we walk to our cars together when we work together.
the other day we were chatting about something and he confessed to me that he is an introvert and that social situations essentially drain him and he does not like to engage in conversations he find trivial or stupid, but then made sure to tell me what he has not felt that way with me.
am I just oblivious? How do introverted people express their interest in someone?
