Why talk to me?

This guy I know is really popular among girls. I am not going to lie, but he is handsome and very kind. I get this friend-like feeling from him after talking to him and not romantically feelings. He is 1yr younger than me too so I don't see him romantically.

The problem is that he is way too nice to me, talks to me, follow me, and wants to get to know me. I feel a bit awkward because I am not a person that likes to open up fast. He even invites me to social gatherings and he wants me to be there.

He looks me directly in my eyes and laughs at everything I say. Like I know that what I sometimes say is hella lame. I have noticed that he likes to look at me and my body. I have caught him so many times now. I look at him back because I can feel that he is staring. Is he just too nice, or how do I know he is thinking me of more than a friend? I am just curious, I can ask him directly but I feel that it will be weird if I ask and he just see me as a friend.

Maybe he’s a good friend. But don’t flirt back. If he makes a move. Be nice and turn him down and maybe try to set him up with someone you know is into him.
