Is this a bad sign?

So there’s thsi guy at my college who I see often. He is slightly younger than me but he is really cute. I saw him around a lot but I m quiet and don’t really communicate with anyone at my school. I didn’t know his name until one day he helped my roommate carry a heavy case up to our dorm. He introduced himself and I had a name to the face. Ironically I found his Instagram the same day. I hesitated to folllw because I didn’t wanna look crazy but I ended up following like the next day or so. He didn’t follow me back but a random page followed me last night. It was private and the only mutual person we had in common was the cute guy. I did research and I’m assuming it’s his cousin but I don't know I can’t see anything. I tried to follow but he declined. Is that a bad sign for me? Does it seem odd? What does it mean?

Like a sign he is wildly uninterested or interested at all? It feels a little like there was a discussion of some sort but I don't know

Uninterested is just him not engaging at all but wildly would be going to discuss it harshly Iike I even had the audacity to try or something but maybe I’m in my head about it

I think this is a Time killer. You're putting too much attention and energy into something that's going to evolve to nothing.
