Guys, What does it mean if he can't say he doesn't have feelings for you?

I am friends with an ex boyfriend of mine but a couple of times I've had to ask him if he still has feelings for me because he gives off that vibe, at times.

However; he refuses to say whether he has feelings or not; at one stage though , he did say 'at this point in time I want to focus on our friendship', which confused me even more😐

What does him not being able to answer my question mean? He literally just doesn't answer it, changes the subject if I'm asking in person or ignores that message if I ask it through messages.

I want to keep being friends with him, but, not if he still has feelings for me. I want him to tell me he doesn't but he can't do that, does that mean he does?

Then stop asking. It doesn’t matter if he feels uncomfortable answering. What does it matter? If he still has feelings. Maybe he’s still getting over it.

As long as he’s good to you and a good friend. What does it matter? You’re not someone that someone can be honest with. Because if he said he has feelings still which he can’t really help. Then you would cut him out of your life.
