Guy hasn't messaged my back in almost three hours, but is on Twitter. Should I be concerned?

I messaged my crush this morning on snapchat and it seemed to be going fine. He opened up about how he doesn't like his job, etc. Then he asked me a question about my work and I responded. He hasn't been on the app since and hasn't opened my message yet.

I know he was busy running errands and his favorite sports team was playing this afternoon. But he has been on twitter as well, so I feel like he could look at my message or he could have responded during commercials or at halftime.

I feel like he's ignoring me, but he asked me a question last and hasn't opened my message yet. He opened the app about 10 minutes ago, but still hasn't opened my message.

Should I be weirded out by this or just wait? Like is he playing me or is he waiting until he has a chance to really look and respond to my message?

Social media is really impacting this generation dating life …. I used to have snapchat to communicate with guys too but I was talking to more than one guy because I was young and having fun.

My advice is to go have fun and enjoy your single life.

Snapchat, Twitter, IG sounds toxic and he will know that you have been “stalking” him by viewing his story. He will eventually respond to you on snapchat but let me be clear with you chatting on snapchat isn’t something serious at all.

You will have to actually text with him and exchange numbers. If you guys don’t exchange numbers to text or he ghosts you, you need a backup plan and find yourself other guys.

Whether it seems harsh or not the men are right. It's very unhealthy for you, to hold these expectations for your partner. You should be living your life. Go see a movie, go for a nature walk, learn a new recipe or craft... do some journaling. Something to take your mind off of men. Your love life will bode better for you that way.

It’s so bizarre. I remember life before the internet and it was wonderful. If you like a girl you just talked to her and gave her a call. Now it’s always some weird evaluation of their online status and how quickly they respond to a DM or whether they “liked” your status.

This is not healthy. And they don’t even know that’s it isn’t healthy. This is all they’ve ever known. In fact they think you’re SUPPOSED to communicate on Discord (WTH that is) or Spapchat or Instagram.

As one frequently labeled an 'out of touch old man who knows nothing about the internet and social media works, I think about this topic quite a bit.
I like to remind my young critics that I was around long before the internet and have watched it completely change our lives. I have conducted my life of social and dating activities using anything from DMs, passing handwritten notes in study hall, to (gasp) phones calls (rotary phone, of course)
