How to know if a guy is friend zoning me or if he's just being rude or flirting help me out guys!! ?

Im 16, and my crush is 15 turning 16. We text and stuff for about a week or so now, and at first he said he wanted my number and stuff and that im cute, he was being really nice for the first few days. yesterday we were messaging and we kinda were roasting eachother a little bit, and he was calling me dumbass and dummy and kept saying "L" to me. He did say he was joking but im not sure if he really was... or if he's trying to friend zone me. I messaged him "Hey" this morning and he responded "Wsg gang" so I don't know help me guys please!! thanks so much.

He sounds, I'm sorry to say, decidedly normal to me for a teenage boy. Boys are trying to figure out their new bodies and their minds are changing at the same time. And those minds are flooded -- flooded -- with testosterone and confused feelings and liking girls all of a sudden. They don't know how to act in what is, essentially, a whole new dynamic. There's also a component of this that is trying to be macho for friends.

None of that excuses being rude. You have three choices:

1. Call him out on it. If he's rude, let him know. Don't publicly shame him but let him know his behavior is erratic and uncool.

2. Ditch him altogether. Just drop him from your crush list and from interacting with him.

3. Have patience and he'll mature.

I'd go for a combination of 1 and 3. It will take time. But, don't take rudeness from anyone, boy or girl, no matter how much you like them/crush on them.
