I accepted match from a guy on bumble. I started convo with a guessing game trying to guess what was the lie on his profile question “two truths and a lie”. He had written for this “I’m a pilot, author and engineer”
Turns out, he had written all truths and was lol’ing on each of his reply to me when I was guessing about the lie. He said that he gave me a good deal - 3 truths for the price of 2. I replied back in good humour as life is too short to take everything seriously. Then I asked him below question and he didn’t reply and ended chat after few hours.
“Is there one thing that people thought was true about you but they were wrong?”
I can’t understand why he did that. If I was him, I would have probably laughed it off or told something about me that people had misjudged me about.
Im trying dating app for the first time so want your help to understand if I did something wrong or if this guy got offended and if yes, then for what? This will help me in future.

Huh. I really have no idea. I don't see any reason why he wouldn't have responded to that. You didn't say anything weird or offensive or inappropriate.
My best guess of what happened is he probably got busy with something and he hasn't even seen your reply message yet. He'll probably get it later when he has some free time and gets back online.
He actually ended the chat. In bumble, if one does so then it’s like “I am not feeling it and don’t want to continue”. The chat gets disabled and either can't message the other.
Oh shit. That's terrible! I'm sorry. 😥
Thanks for your concern! I’m not sad though. I always believe the best things stand the test of time :) and that everything happens for a reason.
Okay! :)
I wouldn't use dating apps. They are scams. This is basically proof
In what sense are they scams? Like insincere people? I absolutely agree with you in having organic real-world interactions that have a better chance of growing into something meaningful but I work from home and that limits my exposure. I tried going to meetups and honestly haven’t run into someone decent. Im starting to wonder how on earth will I find a partner :-/
My mom works from home. She didn't used to. She met her man out of the home, she just happened to choose to eventually work from home
Trust me, THEY ARE SCAMS
Thanks! I’ll try to put myself out there often and be cautious for whatever time I’m on bumble (pretty sure I’m closing account soon).
Good. I'm just trying to look out for you
Thank you internet friend! I send good wishes your way
Thanks, I think
