When I offered a free reiki healing his response was a blunt I don't want your energy. Even though he was willing to date, to cuddle and talk. I felt quite bad about myself after this. I know some people will think reiki isn't a real form of healing, but this guy has had healing done before by his mom.
Faith is personal matter. There is no scientific evidence of Reiki healing. Despite that you do your business.
But from a potential date I don't want a sample of their service for 'free'. I don't want a 'free' pancake from a potential date who sells that to earn money.
You should have just gone on a date and done your 'reiki healing' afterwards. Who doesn't love a 'reiki healing' from a girl as long as it is not a free sample from business.
You said he has been healed by his mother before. Maybe he feels as though he would be going behind her back if he went to you.
Perhaps, he felt as though he was somewhat trapped in a bad situation.
He thinks you are negative or have a bad energy.
