Why does a guy I work with not talk to me but he talks to pretty much everyone else?

When I started working there he was really forward and upbeat but since then he has done the complete opposite. When I do talk to him he avoids my eyes but occasionally he will be super jokey with me. I don’t know what’s going on, does he not like me or something

As a rule of thumb, never attempt to start to be too close to work colleagues. That is the worst you can do because not only will it create jealousies but also, it will poison the work environment.

Your best option is to ask him directly why he changed his behavior towards you. Did you do something that warrants his change? Did he try to flirt with you and you rejected him? Did you say something that he disapproved?

There are a million and one reasons why somebody changes his/her behavior that it is not possible to really give an accurate reply to your question.
