I asked my crush for a little bit more time before starting a relationship and he sent me 15 thumbs up emojis?

Why would a man, 30 years old, send 15 different messages of which all contain just the thumbs up emoji and then a 16th message which was another thumbs up, through reaction to my message?

He is a workmate, we have hung out in a group setting a few times and me and him have been chatting online and there is a spark there but I need some more time to know him, it's only been a few weeks.

He sent me a message saying 'i like you, let's be together '.

I replied 'i like you too but I don't want to rush into a relationship just yet, I've done that in the past and it's never worked out well, I think just a little bit time to get to know each other more, would be so great'.

Then. He sent 16 messages in a row 15 of them were the thumbs up emoji and the 16th one was a direct reply to that message of a thumbs up reaction to that message.

Help me. What does this mean? I have no idea how to respond.

Edit: I sent him a reply saying 'I think you might of accidentally sent the thumbs up a few too many times'.
He replied with 1 message containing 10 thumbs up emojis?

I would interpret that as "message received." But in a negative way. Like a snarky "You're not interested but didn't want to say it. Got it." kind of way. Like a childish passive-aggressive kind of way. Though hey, never hurts to ask. Maybe he just tried to send it and his phone messed up and said it wasn't delivered, but it was, so he kept trying to send it before giving up and hitting the reaction thumbs up. He may have no idea he sent you 16 thumbs up and will be very embarrassed. It could go either way.

Wow. Thank you for sharing! I had a feeling, in my gut that he was being slightly passive aggressive but my gal friends were saying that just means he agrees, but in my gut I felt that's not what he was meaning. To be honest now I'm alittle turned off the guy, doesn't this mean he's rather immature and impatient? Why would I want a partner like that? Or does it not necessarily mean those things?

Had it been a single thumb up, I may have agreed with your friends, but 26? Nah, that's 100% being petty. I agree that's immature and if that's any indication of how he would handle the relationship, maybe it's for the best you found this out now rather than later.
