Example 1: blocking a person out of lack of enough attention is usually abusive (emotionally, it's passive aggressive) or anyway very taxing, so you can't really expect any good "welcome" after that and you undermine any trust he could put on you already because he learns how unstable you are and what you're capable of, and he will remember that.
