What is your height and what height do you look for in a partner?

Okay, so this is clearly for both genders. I just want to get an average of what guys heights are (average of the guys and girls answering that is, not average of the entire population) so I can get a general idea what a girl likes, at the same time a girl can figure out where she fits in on what guys prefer in height. Now obviously each person is different, but getting a general idea isn't a bad thing.

So, yeah what is your height and what do you prefer your partners height, and some extra details about them as well if you feel the need to do so.

I'm 5'9 although most people tell me they think I'm 5'10-5'11 but according to the doctors I am 5'9 So I am sticking to that.

I prefer girls who are 5'4 to 5'9 (my height) I have zero problem with dating girls shorter I would probably cut it off at 4'8, and I have absolutely no problem with dating girls taller. But the problem with girls around my height and especially taller is if they want to wear heals. They can, but either consciously or subconsciously don't like the fact that they are taller than the man. So as I can be with a girl who is taller than me, I don't think it could work unless she had no problem with me being smaller than her. But in all reality if you love someone height shouldn't get in the way, but this is about before you love someone. And would you even start a relationship with a person at said height. And I would probably cut off the height part at no taller than 6'2 6'3. in that area.

I'll tell you why I like tall guys

1. I'm not exactly short and sometimes I enjoy wearing heels...

being with someone who is tall means I don't have to fear being taller than him with heels on.

2. I enjoy the sense of security I feel when I walk next to him.

This is obviously just my personal preference and I don't mean to offend anyone.

Plus we all know that when you fall for someone you fall for them and that's all...

People here in Holland are pretty tall in general so me being '5'5 is actually quite short. I don't have a preference for height, it doesn't really matter if a guy is taller or shorter than I am. My boyfriend is 6'7 so that's quite a height difference.

My mother comes from Holland too , and we are all insane tall, now living in Denmark. But as my mother told me , it's not acceptable in Holland to be with s shorter guy, and she told me that shorter men are treated very bad in Holland, and family look at shorter relatives who were short people a genetic defect. So my mother and us left for Denmark when she got divorced when we were young kids, as in Denmark Heightism hasn't become quite as horrible yet. But To Der and online dating sites do a great job to make shorter men's life a living hell here too

I'm 6'5 and 230 lbs and my girlfriend is 5'4 and literally 100 lbs less than that. She would definitely have not been my ideal height but I'm apparently hers. On the plus side, I can pick her up no problem. On the downside I have to lean down and she has to go on her toes for a kiss. It also makes sex more difficult in some positions.
I was always more of a shy guy though so on another plus side I always get noticed in a crowd and look kind of intimidating.

I'm 5'9" and I don't care about their height. The tallest girl I've dated has at least 6 inches on me right now. She's always been taller than me, we dated in first grade and we have barely talked since though. The shortest I've dated is I'd guess 8 inches shorter than me. I've also dated a girl that's the exact same height down to the centimeter.

Height can bite you two different ways. Sometimes it's not even your height its how your height is proportioned. When I went to ceder point when I was a kid and went on the mantis. I was barely tall enough. I think it was 52 inches? Can't remember. And a guy who was 2 inches taller than me waited until he got on the coaster. And because he had short legs he couldn't ride it but I could. Since its a standing coaster and your feet must touch the ground and his didn't.

I have big curly hair though and people swear I look 5'6''/5'7'' until I'm standing next to my 5'8'' friends and I'm obviously shorter.

My target and what I put on dating sites as my range is 5'10'' to 6'5''. That's perfect. I'm average height for an American woman, average height here is about 5'10'' for men so it aligns well. Plus I love tall men - surprise surprise.

However, in person I have been attracted to men who are below average height - like 5'7'' and over.

I'm 5'1 practicality 5'2. Height is not important to me. My ideal range is anything from 6'3 down to 5'2. I'm willing to go below that range, but I've yet to meet a guy my age that's shorter than me. I'm also willing to go outside that range, but it's a little difficult to talk to guys 6'3 and above, because I don't know how much space to give between us so I'm not straining my neck talking to him or talking too far away from him.

My preferred height for a partner would be between 4' 9" and 5' 4".
If she was tall, like 5' 8" and above I would want her to have an athletic build. Often very skinny petite girls don't look as good if they are very tall, but the short ones can either be skinny and petite or athletic and still look good.

Funny thing is, 95% of the time people will think a 5'10" man is the godlike 6'0", and 6'0" is 6'2" and so on. So when girls say they want a 6'0" man, they mean a 5'10" man. So you don't have to worry.

I am 5'10(177cm). I do not really have height requirements when it comes to dating girls. I do have a soft spot for girls taller than. For eg, if I am dating a girl who is much taller than me at lets say 6'3(190cm) and if she wishes to wear really high heels which would make here 6'9 for that night, it won't bother me that I will look like a midget infront of her. Well, I'm shorter than 180 cms and I have no problem being with a girl close to my height. The girl I'm talking too now is about 170 cms herself. She is about 5'7"... but since we don't measure ourselves in cms in my country I couldn't say if she's just shy of or just north of 170 cms.

Okay, so I'm a girl that's 5'11' and that is sometimes kinda shitty when it comes to guys because I like those taller than me and I heard a couple that some guys got intimidated a bit when I stood up and was next to them. As in 6'8 and never have I heard a guy complain about my height. Sure she's attractive physical wise but a girls personality still matters most, id rather hv a girl be an 8 in looks with a 10 personality, then the other way around. To be with someone you need physical plus personality. Personality is ultimately more important :)

yeah, but you can't assume just because someone has physical beauty that they don't have a good personality. I saw an interview with her, she seems pretty cool. The smallest guy she's dated was 5'4 and she mentions herself that society has women focus too much on a girl finding a taller guy, where for her that's extremely hard to do. So at the very least. She can be a good role model for tall girls. well all girls really but give tall girls that extra bit of confidence that us guys find attractive
