Why would a guy add “looking for relationship” on his dating profile the day after our third date?

in other news I’ve seen this guy 3 times. The first two times were extremely casual but the third time was more serious/vulnerable. I told him I like seeing him every 2 weeks with no texting in between (works for me) and then he added the “looking for relationship” option on his profile. Man I really like him just can’t have a relationship right now… :(

Have you told him you just want a casual side-thing?
A good step could be to tell the truth and say you can't go into anything serious right now and that maybe you can take it slow and just see if it could tyrn into a maybe.

But you know, if you don't want him for exclusivity then chances are he will look for another in the meantime, which is pretty much what you're saying you want either way right? - to not be serious I mean.

What you can offer isn’t what he is looking for and vice versa.

It has to work for both of you. If it doesn’t then it’s best to keep your options open, which is maybe what he is doing
