Is normal that a guy changes a lot after rejection?

I rejected a guy I wa seeing for some time. We kissed and went out. He was always really funny, smiled a lot. We didn't talk for few months. Recently we started talking again and we are friends. But often he just comes says hi and doesn't even smile. doesn't pay any attention to me nor my friends an dhe used to talk to all of us a lot. He is much more quiet.

Yeah, you rejected him. He doesn’t want to be your friend, he’s just being polite socially because it isn’t right to resent someone for rejecting them, so he’s just trying to be a good guy and move on.

It’s normal. Rejections hurt regardless even for the most secure person. Once you reject someone, you have put things in their ball court to act accordingly to how they want.

It’s not even necessarily being hurt. When a guy is interested in a girl romantically, he isn’t interested in her platonically. The vast majority of guys who stay friends are there purely because they are lurking and waiting for a moment of vulnerability.

It was a male perspective of how rejection feels to supplement your female perspective. We surely experience rejection in different ways as we approach courting differently. Perhaps that male perspective would help clarify your explanation by explaining the part that is different from women.

@octopusears no one single person is the same, and while those two explanations can exist, men need to stop rejecting the fact that they can feel pain. Every person on this earth feels some kind of way when they get rejected. That was the point of my response in the first place. A male even agreed with what I said.
