How do I know we are in the talking stage?

So I realized something was off with my friend when he blocked me and the other friend in our small friend group so I texted his best friend and we figured out what happened but in the process I found out that he had told him that we were dating. We have flirted and what not but never really talked about it and I was shocked to hear that he was telling people we were dating because he would always tell me that he doesn’t like me like that and that he was just having fun. How do I know if he likes me? How can u tell you’re in the talking stage?

I mean, if you’re talking, especially privately, and you’re both attracted to each other. That’s what I would consider it, at least. If he’s saying you’re dating when you’re not and blocking people, he’s kind of weird. Sounds like he’s spazzing out and failing to process his emotions and how they relate to reality.

What the hell is this guy even doin? He is spreading rumuors that you both are dating and he say to you that he don't likes you. And second thing is that he says he is having fun.


First of all clear with him that why he told this fake thing that you both are dating when he doesn't likes you.
