My boyfriend calls things I say stupid a lot, is this normal?

So for example he lost his wallet the other day and I saw him with it in his hand the next day and I stupidly said “oh you found your wallet”. He got pissed off and said clearly I did if it’s in my hand and said me saying things like that makes it seem that I’m “retarded”.

This happens a lot where I say something thoughtlessly and he thinks it’s stupid and then he gets angry. I have apologised for that comment about his wallet but he said my apologies mean nothing because I’m always saying stupid things.

I don’t know why I do, it’s gotten to the point I feel I’m walking on eggshells in case I say something stupid. I’ve gotten quiet and don’t talk as much. He said if I keep annoying him and saying stupid things he will break up with me. How do I stop myself saying these things?

You can't stop yourself cause your you and you will saw what you want to!

This guy clearly has problems. He is a narcissist who clearly has clearly shown you who he is and has you wrapped around his finger and that's not going to change. He won.

The question is, are you going to continue putting up with it? You're in your late 20s. It's not too late to start over.
