Why can't men understand how hard giving birth is?

It's true, there's no way a guy could imagine it. I've tried to think of anything that compares... the closest I can think of was when I was kicked hard in the balls once. That hurt for days and I had pain walking/sitting, but I bet it still doesn't compare.

Why do you think we can't understand? Do you know a lot of guys that are like "yep just like popping a pimple..." What is the reaction men are supposed to give upon finding out your pregnant? All of them say "oh my how can you do this?" I don't know what the social context for the question is. Just a literal thing? They don't give birth. You know how hard it is to get shot? No (probably... I assumed), but you can figure out it's not enjoyable, and I don't feel like you can't understand it. Sure you can. Help me understand what you're asking better and I can hopefully give a better answer.

Many grasp that it is hard.

But... the issue is that we can never understand. Ever. Yes, you can describe pain to us and we can attempt to compare. But no man has a vagina nor the related muscles that must stretch as well as push a baby out.

So there's zero physiological frame of reference for men to understand.

I'm not excusing men for being thoughtful or attempting to graps the difficulty and the pain but the why is that we will never feel that.

We literally don't have the body parts to understand it. All we can do is go by what women tell us, but then most women will say that they want to have more kids after they had the one.

So by our logic, the experience can't have been that horrible because you want to repeat it.

For the same reason girls can't understand how it feels to always have to be the protectors and have to "man up" about everything in life. Men are men and women are women. We have different biological experiences and expectations.
