I started dating a guy, then he told me he would never like me in that way. So we stopped seeing each other and then started talking again. We decided to be friends with benefits and thats been two half years. He texts first thing in morning, during day and before bed and calls as well. We go out for dinner and just hang together. The sex is amazing but i know he thinks i someone else whilst having it. Cause he never looks at me. I really like this guy, but he has made it quite clear im not good enough for him. Question is why does he do all these other things and why do i still stay. It breaks my heart. Im so unhappy

I have no idea why you stay. I wouldn't. He is just using you for sex. Anyone who either tells you that you are not good enough or acts that way is just using you. Like why would you stay with this guy? Surely you can meet someone that actually wants to be with you or at the very least a dude that wants the friends with benefits relationship but doesn't treat you like shit. If you are that unhappy leave the idiot and find a guy that values you.

Not to be snippy, but you should read the book “women who love too much”. And even though you may not understand right now, I think that if you give yourself a chance, somebody else will catch your eye. You can still be friends, but without benefits. Spend more time with others. Don’t waste your time with him. He doesn’t respect you, I think it’s because you’re too easy.
My husband had two different women in his life who were friends with benefits at different times. He still thinks of them kindly but never ever considered having any long-term relationship with them.

Why do women do this to themselves? This isn’t a situation you should be settling for. These are the situations that eventually turn women bitter and belief men are one type of way. Sex is tempting in the beginning but if you think about what you want overall this type of relationship almost never leads down that road. If I were in your position I’d respectfully cut all contact and if he asks why say you and him don’t want the same things.

Why should he respect you when you are not showing any respect for yourself? You allow him to use you and he sees you as someone who exists to be used. There's nothing surprising in this scenario.

Thanks, i was single for 13 years raising my kids, it took me a lot to get back out there, so guess i feel safe with the first person i met.

It's time for you to dump this guy that is only using you for his own sexual gratification. He's made it clear he doesn't love you or want you for anything other then sex. Do yourself a favor and dump him before he dumps you. There is a guy out there that will love you for who you are. Find him.
