So my little sister was dating this guy. She decided to wait six months until she had sex with him. After they had sex, he ended the relationship.

So I don't understand

why would he wait half a year, pretend he's emotionally invested, go on dates, remain exclusive to one another for that long, waste his time and hers just to get up and leave when he gets what he wanted? She's heartbroken to say the least.

I am sorry to hear about this unfortunate story. He waited a half a year to "pump and dump" as you stated. How do you know he was exclusive the entire time? He might have had multiple women out there and your sister would never know. What about the quality of the sex? Do you think he could have dumped her because he did not like the sex?

This is pretty common. Usually the longer a girl makes a guy wait the more likely he'll dump her right after banging her. This is because for men all vaginas are pretty much the same so when you dangle something as if it's valuable once he attains it he's going to realize it wasn't worth the wait. Also he most likely wasn't exclusive because normal guys don't go 6 months w/out getting laid.

@asker I don't believe in telling another person what to do w/ their body. in my opinion it's so difficult for women especially young women to understand that their are consequences because we don't hold woman accountable as a society. She made the choice to wait which is fine, however the consequences are that a guy is going to make a choice as well as she found out.

perhaps he found other flaws with her a few months in and decided to at least get some sex out of it. he probably wasn't motivated just by sex. maybe the sex was bad or something else happened at the same time not related to sex?
