How do guys react to love letters?

I'm making my guy best friend a love letter or maybe not a love letter exactly but a written statement explaining why he's been someone I've loved, why as of today I'm going to stop, and how much he's meant to me... I'm not going to give it to him any time SOON, this is more or me letting him go as of right now and maybe one day when I move or he moves away I'll give it to him and it can be something we could laugh about but it has me wondering if I *should* give it to him one day because maybe guys aren't that into letters like that? I don't know I was curious is all

I think that is all going to depend on if he has those sorta feelings for you or not as to if he will like it. I would think guys I general might like love letters. Only problem is if he doesn't have those feelings it might be off putting and make things awkward. Do you think or have any indication that he might? I would be pretty sure before giving him a letter like that or you run the risk of ruining the friendship if he reacts negatively. Just something to keep in mind.

Make sure that no one else see the letter every thing should be fine.

No, just no. Maybe write a letter to a guy you have feelings for, but never write a letter telling him he's history. Say it to his face or STFU.
