Why do people hate me just because I love my boy best friend more than my boyfriend?

Why is it that people hate me just because I love my 18 year old boy best friend far more than my 18 year old boyfriend? I met my boyfriend when we were in highschool.

I am an 18 year old girl who also cooks for my boy best friend and takes care of him when he is sick. I don't do the same to my boyfriend because boyfriends to me should be mature masculine males who can take care of themselves.

I always emotionally comfort my boy best friend whenever he is hurting inside while I don't do the same to my boyfriend. Boyfriends should not cry about being emotionally hurt because they should be masculine as boyfriends.

I am very protective of my boy best friend while I am not protective towards my boyfriend. Boyfriends should not be protected by their girlfriends because being protective in a romantic relationship is only for the masculine ones and not for the feminine ones.

So why do people hate me just because I love my boy best friend far more than my boyfriend? Why do people hate me just because I am far more loyal to my boy best friend than to my boyfriend? I am willing to die for my boy best friend but not for my boyfriend. The only thing that my boyfriend gets from me that my boy best friend doesn't is sex.

I am devoted to my boy best friend but not to my boyfriend.

I love my boy best friend this much because he and I have gone through so many things together since we were 8 years old. He protected me and I did the same to him.

My boyfriend dumped me because of all of these but I moved on.

Also, my boy best friend isn't gay. He is straight and heterosexual but he seems like he doesn't want to have a girlfriend, a wife, or sex. Also, he is not a coward. He is tough. He beat up a male asshole trying to bother me.

Your in love with your boy best friend. You should be dating him. If you are investing that much emotional, mental and time to a "friend' while not investing the same as a "boyfriend' then something is fundamentally wrong with your relationship.

In these types of stories eventually you will cheat on your boyfriend with your bff. You can try to your best to say no but there are more than enough stories, online posting in infidelity forums and articles to prove it to be true.

Your boyfriend obviously recognized what was going on and did what was best for him. The majority of men that might be willing to date you will most likely do the same.

Personally, Given the information you posted, I would never consider you a dating option. I would not wish to enter into a relationship where I felt disrespected and or just a second place option. I suggest you reevaluate your life choices.

No, Basically the way you have posted is the BFF is your boyfriend and your boyfriend is a friends with benefits. You need to back up and maybe seek out a therapist because you really have your life and your priorities really backwards.

I get everything that you said. You feel a sense of loyalty and security around your friend. You have known him a lot longer and have gone trough a lot together. You need to understand though that to a guy it will look like yo love him more and you even admit to this. a lot of guys would not be comfortable with this. I probably would not like it either.

1. you don't have a boy best friend, men and women are not friends. he is a "waiter" waiting for you to become single so he can date you, his feminine nature will gossip you're relationships to death until he can have you.
